Michael Fitzgibbons
Before founding Claritas Rx, Mike played a number of roles in marketing and managed care at Genentech. His work spanned life cycle planning, commercial launch preparation, pricing strategy and distribution strategy. The combination of Mike’s experience in Genentech’s Managed Care and Customer Operations organization and his time on the Avastin Marketing Team led to Claritas Rx’s focus on leveraging patient-level data to tangibly improve how companies understand product performance and support patients through their treatment journey. Prior to Genentech, Mike was an equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley covering pharmaceutical services, drug distribution and healthcare information technology. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. |
Kurt J. Hilzinger, CPA
Kurt Hilzinger is a Partner with Court Square Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New York City, where he is focused on making investments in the healthcare industry. Since 2003 he has also been on the board of Humana, including serving as lead director from 2010 to 2014 when he became chairman of the Board. Previously, Kurt served as President and Chief Operating Officer and earlier as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AmerisourceBergen Corporation, one of the worlds’ largest pharmaceutical services companies serving the United States, Canada and related global markets. In addition, Kurt also currently serves on the Board of NDC, Inc. (a Court Square portfolio company), the Board of Directors of Oncobiologics, Inc., and the Visiting Committee at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Kurt previously served on the Claritas Rx Advisory Board, since January 2016. |
Zackary King
Zackary King is a founder, CEO, investor, and advisor who is passionate about creating transformative companies in the life sciences and healthcare industries that accelerate performance and improve patient outcomes. As the former CEO and founder of SHYFT Analytics, Zack built the company into a leading platform for commercial and real-world data analytics, with products designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industry. Zack currently holds advisory and board member positions at andros and SecZetta, and is a limited partner at Activate Venture Partners. Previously, Zack was a combat flight paramedic for the United States Army’s 101st Airborne Division, a graduate of the elite Army Air Assault School, and received the Army Commendation Medal for heroism and meritorious achievement. Zack was recognized by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2014. Earlier in his career he was a software engineer and attended Bentley University’s Computer Information Systems program. |
Aabed Meer, MD
Aabed is a Partner at Questa Capital and has more than 15 years of investment and healthcare experience. Previously, he was a Director and member of the founding team at Martis Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in the healthcare sector. Prior to that, he was with Capricorn Investment Group, ExploraMed Development, and New Enterprise Associates. In these roles, he partnered with founders and management teams in the healthcare sector to develop new investment opportunities, structure creative investment solutions, and execute on strategic growth plans. Early in his career, Aabed contributed to the Human Genome Project, an international research effort funded by the National Institutes of Health. He also worked on health economics and policy matters at Kaiser Permanente and the U.K.’s National Health Service. Aabed graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Biochemical Sciences, and from Stanford University with an MD and MBA. He completed his residency training at Stanford University and continues to serve on the medical faculty as a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician. |
Bradley Sloan
Bradley Sloan is a Managing Partner at Questa Capital. He has spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry and has been investing in the space since 1999. During his investment career, Brad has been involved with 16 company boards of directors and the deployment of over $500 million in equity capital in the healthcare services and healthcare technology sectors. Prior to co-founding Questa, Brad was a senior investment professional at Parthenon Capital, a growth oriented private equity firm, where he helped lead their healthcare investment practice. During his time there, he deployed over $300 million in equity capital and served on eight different boards of directors. Prior to Parthenon, Brad worked at Broadlane, Inc., a healthcare technology company, where he was a member of the Executive Management Committee. Brad previously worked in a variety of healthcare investment roles at MTS Health Partners and Evercore Partners in their New York offices. Brad started his career in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York. Brad graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA with distinction in Economics and concentration in Finance. |
