Kurt J. Hilzinger, CPA

Kurt Hilzinger is a Partner with Court Square Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New York City, where he is focused on making investments in the healthcare industry. Since 2003 he has also been on the board of Humana, including serving as lead director from 2010 to 2014 when he became chairman of the Board.

Aabed Meer, MD

Aabed is a Partner at Questa Capital and has more than 15 years of investment and healthcare experience. Previously, he was a Director and member of the founding team at Martis Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in the healthcare sector. Prior to that, he was with Capricorn Investment Group, ExploraMed Development, and New Enterprise Associates.

Bradley Sloan is a Managing Partner at Questa Capital. He has spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry and has been investing in the space since 1999. During his investment career, Brad has been involved with 16 company boards of directors and the deployment of over $500 million in equity capital in the healthcare services and healthcare technology sectors.

Since then, Claritas Rx has grown from a small channel data consultancy to become a pioneer in patient-level data integration and analytics for the biopharmaceutical industry. Today, our customers range from small biotechnology companies launching their first specialty product to large global manufacturers with a strong portfolio of specialty products.

Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Claritas Rx employs a team of developers, customer solutions experts, and analysts in key areas of the US, able to nimbly deliver solutions to our customers wherever they are located.

Bhupesh Bajaj | CTO

Bhupesh leads our product development efforts as CTO. He is a seasoned engineering and product executive with extensive background in building patient, provider and payer facing products. Prior to joining ClaritasRx, He was at McKesson leading product and engineering for the revenue cycle suite of products. Bhupesh joined McKesson in early 2023 via acquisition of his startup Glide Health, which he founded in 2019. Prior to founding Glide Health, Bhupesh was VP of Engineering at Change Healthcare, held engineering leadership roles at Cardinal Health and led many technology engagements at Deloitte. Bhupesh holds a Master’s in Engineering Management degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland and Bachelors in Engineering degree from NIT Jalandhar, India.

Scott Earl | CFO

Scott has over 20 years of executive level financial experience in building high growth companies in both the public and private sectors. Scott’s wealth of experience includes strategic corporate leadership, business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and capital financing. Prior to Claritas Rx, Scott spent several years as CFO of Connexion Point, where he directed the PE owned health-tech company to profitability, growth, and a successful exit, and in multiple leadership roles at Ancestry where he guided exponential growth, business expansion, corporate transactions, and several acquisitions. Scott began his career at Ernst & Young. He holds MS and BS degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Mike Fitzgibbons | CEO & Founder

Before founding Claritas Rx, Mike played a number of roles in marketing and managed care at Genentech. His work spanned life cycle planning, commercial launch preparation, pricing strategy and distribution strategy. The combination of Mike’s experience in Genentech’s Managed Care and Customer Operations organization and his time on the Avastin Marketing Team led to Claritas Rx’s focus on leveraging patient-level data to tangibly improve how companies understand product performance and support patients through their treatment journey. Prior to Genentech, Mike was an equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley covering pharmaceutical services, drug distribution and healthcare information technology. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Stuart Kamin | Senior Vice President, Analytics & Innovation

Stuart is a healthcare analytics specialist. As SVP of Analytics and Innovation, he manages the strategic direction and deployment of the Claritas Rx technical platform to support launches for innovative specialty medicines. He built his expertise in specialty channel data through his previous work in lifecycle pricing and contract strategy at Genentech and in global consulting with IMS Health. Stuart holds dual MBA and MPH degrees from UC Berkeley and a BS in Psychobiology from UCLA.

Bob Piwko

Bob Piwko | Vice President, Business Development

As Vice President of Business Development, Bob leads the Claritas Rx sales team, focused on the expansion and nurturing of relationships with existing customers while also driving the acquisition of new ones. With over 25 years of pharmaceutical experience, spanning roles in both industry and at solution providers, Bob brings a depth of expertise to his position. Before joining Claritas Rx, he managed business development and marketing at Red Nucleus, a firm providing commercialization services and SaaS technology solutions across the pharmaceutical value chain. His experience also includes leadership positions in sales and account management at C3i Solutions, specializing in life sciences commercial and clinical outsourcing services. Prior to C3i, Bob managed commercial operations processes, data, and systems at Bayer and held several positions in the pharmaceutical practice at KPMG Consulting. A former member of the United States Navy’s nuclear submarine force, Bob earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Rob Quinn | Vice President, Marketing

Rob’s a Marketing leader focused on strengthening marketing competencies, building high-performing teams, and helping companies drive revenue. As VP of Marketing, he is charged with increasing awareness for Claritas Rx solutions and helping support commercial initiatives. For the last 20 years, he has worked within high-tech companies such as The MathWorks, Oracle, Agfa Healthcare, and Bridgehead software offering solutions to the healthcare and life sciences markets. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UMASS Lowell and an MBA from UMASS Amherst.

Athena Uzzo | Senior Vice President, Customer Experience

Athena has over 15 years of experience in clinical trials management and software commercial operations as well as working in growing technology companies. Prior to joining Claritas Rx, Athena was the Vice President of Customer Success at Core Informatics, a SaaS company that developed a scientific data management platform for researchers and that was acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2017. In earlier positions, Athena was the Head of Clinical Trials Project Management at Cogstate, Inc., a technology company that designs computerized tests to measure cognitive effects of investigational products, and Manager of Clinical Affairs at M2S, Inc, a MedTech company providing technology and services for the healthcare industry to manage clinical information for improving the quality of patient care. Athena holds a BA in Chemistry from Boston University and an MS in Pharmacology & Toxicology from Dartmouth College, as well as certifications in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma process training.

Kurt J. Hilzinger, CPA

Kurt Hilzinger is a Partner with Court Square Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New York City, where he is focused on making investments in the healthcare industry. Since 2003 he has also been on the board of Humana, including serving as lead director from 2010 to 2014 when he became chairman of the Board. Previously, Kurt served as President and Chief Operating Officer and earlier as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AmerisourceBergen Corporation, one of the worlds’ largest pharmaceutical services companies serving the United States, Canada and related global markets. In addition, Kurt also currently serves on the Board of NDC, Inc. (a Court Square portfolio company), the Board of Directors of Oncobiologics, Inc., and the Visiting Committee at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Kurt previously served on the Claritas Rx Advisory Board, since January 2016.

Zackary King

Zackary King is a founder, CEO, investor, and advisor who is passionate about creating transformative companies in the life sciences and healthcare industries that accelerate performance and improve patient outcomes. As the former CEO and founder of SHYFT Analytics, Zack built the company into a leading platform for commercial and real-world data analytics, with products designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industry.

Zack currently holds advisory and board member positions at andros and SecZetta, and is a limited partner at Activate Venture Partners. Previously, Zack was a combat flight paramedic for the United States Army’s 101st Airborne Division, a graduate of the elite Army Air Assault School, and received the Army Commendation Medal for heroism and meritorious achievement. Zack was recognized by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2014. Earlier in his career he was a software engineer and attended Bentley University’s Computer Information Systems program.

Aabed Meer, MD

Aabed is a Partner at Questa Capital and has more than 15 years of investment and healthcare experience. Previously, he was a Director and member of the founding team at Martis Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in the healthcare sector. Prior to that, he was with Capricorn Investment Group, ExploraMed Development, and New Enterprise Associates. In these roles, he partnered with founders and management teams in the healthcare sector to develop new investment opportunities, structure creative investment solutions, and execute on strategic growth plans. Early in his career, Aabed contributed to the Human Genome Project, an international research effort funded by the National Institutes of Health. He also worked on health economics and policy matters at Kaiser Permanente and the U.K.’s National Health Service. Aabed graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Biochemical Sciences, and from Stanford University with an MD and MBA. He completed his residency training at Stanford University and continues to serve on the medical faculty as a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician.

Bradley Sloan

Bradley Sloan is a Managing Partner at Questa Capital. He has spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry and has been investing in the space since 1999. During his investment career, Brad has been involved with 16 company boards of directors and the deployment of over $500 million in equity capital in the healthcare services and healthcare technology sectors. Prior to co-founding Questa, Brad was a senior investment professional at Parthenon Capital, a growth oriented private equity firm, where he helped lead their healthcare investment practice. During his time there, he deployed over $300 million in equity capital and served on eight different boards of directors. Prior to Parthenon, Brad worked at Broadlane, Inc., a healthcare technology company, where he was a member of the Executive Management Committee. Brad previously worked in a variety of healthcare investment roles at MTS Health Partners and Evercore Partners in their New York offices. Brad started his career in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York. Brad graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA with distinction in Economics and concentration in Finance.
